Eurobash 2022 in Cardiff!

OGAE UK’s annual fan convention, Eurobash, is back for 2022!

Always a highlight of the Eurovision calendar, we’re looking forward to a fun-filled weekend of Eurovision. Continuing our approach to move our flagship event around the UK, for the first time we are delighted to be heading to Wales and the fabulous city of Cardiff.

Our venue will be at the Hilton Cardiff hotel – a 4* venue located in the heart of the city, opposite Cardiff Castle and a short walk from the Cardiff Central railway station.

This year Eurobash takes place on Saturday 8th October, with a warm-up on Friday 7th.

What’s included?

Friday evening, from approx. 7.30pm – for those choosing to arrive on the Friday night, there will be a welcome party at a local bar (details to be provided to those booked nearer the event).

On Saturday:

  • Buffet lunch with tea and coffee
  • Eurovision Quiz
  • Our video vote – this year’s theme is songs which came second in the contest
  • The Guest List – a Q&A with our special guest panel
  • Hot buffet dinner
  • Eurostars – competitors battle it out for your vote by performing as a Eurovision star
  • Gala concert from our special guests
  • Eurovision disco until 1am, including the all-important Midnight Chips!!

And all this for just £85 (fees included) for OGAE UK members.

TICKETS HAVE NOW SOLD OUT!

Due to unprecedented membership numbers within the club, at this stage we are only able to offer tickets to OGAE UK members. If there are still tickets available after OGAE UK members have had sufficient opportunity to make their purchase, we will open ticket sales to members of other OGAE clubs (£90) and subsequently to people who are not OGAE members (£95). Another great reason to make sure you are a member of OGAE UK!

We recognise that ticket prices this year are higher than in previous years. Sadly, as with many things at the moment, the costs of organising this great event are higher than they have been in the past. But a reminder that this is not a profit-generating event and the ticket price only goes towards the costs of running Eurobash each year.

Who are the special guests?

The organising team are working hard to secure great guests for Eurobash. As in previous years, it is likely we will look to have a Eurovision artist from a very recent contest; an act from a more classic contest; and someone who can offer a behind-the-scenes view of the contest.

Those who have been to previous Eurobashes will know that we often try to secure that year’s UK Eurovision entrant. Naturally we were delighted that Sam Ryder did so well at this year’s contest. However, now that he is performing to sell-out venues around the country, realistically it is unlikely we would be successful in booking him for Eurobash this year.

Details of our special guests will be updated on this page and announced on our social media.

So how do I book?

As in recent years we are once again selling tickets on an event-only basis, giving you maximum flexibility in your accommodation choices.

Simply book your tickets through this page, providing individual names for each attendee you are booking for. Please use the name in which your OGAE UK membership is held, as ticket purchases will be cross-checked with our membership list.

How can I book accommodation?

If you want to stay on-site at the Hilton, you can book directly through their website or telephone 029 2064 6300. You can also use your preferred booking engine (e.g. booking.comhotels.com).

If you wish to stay elsewhere then Cardiff is well equipped with other hotels and Airbnb options to suit all budgets.

For those just staying for the Saturday night, time is built into the schedule for you to check-in before dinner.

If you have any questions please email eurobashuk@gmail.com

We look forward to welcoming you to Cardiff and Eurobash weekend 2022!
