New Eurovision musical prepares to launch

A new Eurovision musical comedy featuring 15 original songs, live accompaniment and 7 performances in two venues is just around the corner.

“Let Me Be The One” follows the travails of Andy, a lifelong fan of the contest. Born on the night of the 1975 contest, he has followed it since babyhood.

Following the 2019 contest and another last place for the UK, Andy and his friend Nicky dare to dream that they can revive the UK’s Eurovision fortunes. What begins as a vague idea winds up as a full-on Eurovision adventure. Can the two of them change the fortunes of the UK for the better with the help of the UK Eurovision fans?

The show takes place Thursday 24th – Saturday 26th October at the Frazer Theatre in Knaresborough (just down the road from the 1982 venue in Harrogate of course!), and Thursday 31st – Saturday 2nd November at the Network Theatre in London’s Waterloo (nice Abba reference there!)

Let Me Be The One is written and produced by E C R Roberts, herself a member of OGAE UK, and we wish her and all involved all the very best!
