What is OGAE UK?

What is OGAE UK?

The Organisation des Amateurs de l’Eurovision, or OGAE for short, is the largest Eurovision Song Contest fan network in the world.  Founded in Finland in the 1980s, the network now includes more than 45 national clubs across Europe and beyond, with over 13,000 individual members. OGAE UK was established over 30 years ago and now has over 3000 members right across the UK and beyond and is currently the UK’s largest Eurovision Fan Club and the largest club in the OGAE International network.

The club’s primary objective is to promote interest in the past, present and future of the Eurovision Song Contest – the world’s largest and most popular music television event. We also aim to provide members with opportunities to learn more about the contest, to interact with each other at various Eurovision themed events, and to access a number of exclusive member benefits such as merchandise and event discount offers etc.

We produce our magazine, Vision, four times each year, providing Eurovision news and reviews. We also produce periodic email updates with details of news and a number of Eurovision themed events both at home and in Europe throughout the year.

Our events include our annual EuroBash Convention in October, Our AGM in November and EuroSocial Get Together in the ESC host city during Eurovision week. In recent years we have also arranged events for members around the time of the National Final Shows, screenings of previous contests on Anniversary dates and promote members Events, Concerts and Parties. We are also a main sponsor of the London Eurovision Preview Party.

We maintain our website, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts in order to communicate with members as well as a more general audience of people interested in the ESC. We also have a dedicated Members Only Facebook Group to keep members informed and debate any current news and views.

The club committee and magazine editorial team are made up of volunteers elected by the members who give their time freely to benefit the club. If you wish to get in contact, see our contacts page.
