Congratulations to Italy for winning this year’s edition of the OGAE Second Chance Contest, with Il Mondo Prima Di Te, performed by Annalisa, scoring a record 350 points.
She came ahead of France’s Emma Liyana (302) and Finland’s Saara Aalto (233), with the UK’s Asanda, performing Legends, coming in 13th place with 82 points.
This year’s contest was hosted by OGAE Sweden, following Mariette’s victory last year. Thank you to OGAE UK’s Gary Speirs for organising, once again, the UK’s involvement in the long running contest.
The OGAE Second Chance Contest, one of three official OGAE-wide contests, has taken place every year since 1987, and sees songs that failed to win national finals from each year have another go at victory. The UK is yet to win the competition, which has been dominated over the years by Sweden, with an incredible 15 wins.
