Eurobash back for 2018!

NOTICE: Tickets are now sold out, but disco only tickets (after 10pm) are available here.

Our annual fan convention, Eurobash, is back for 2018!

This year’s bash has a new look, a new venue and some changes but fear not, many of the key elements you’ve come to know and love over the years remain in place.

For 2018 we’re returning to the preferred date of the first weekend in October, but we’re in a brand new venue – moving from Manchester across the Pennines to Leeds, and the Hilton Leeds City hotel.

This 4* hotel is an ideal venue for the Bash, being located in the heart of the city, right beside the main train station, and with a self-contained entertainment space for the Bash to be held in.

So what does the weekend involve?

Friday evening from approx. 7:30pm – for those choosing to arrive on the Friday night, there will be a welcome party at a local bar (location to be confirmed)

Saturday, from noon:

  • Buffet lunch with tea and coffee
  • Eurovision Quiz
  • Video vote – your chance to vote in our special Eurobash video competition (details to be announced)
  • The Guest List – a Q&A with our special guest panel
  • Hot buffet dinner (dietary requirements can be specified on the booking form)
  • Eurostars – always a highlight of the year, it’s a Eurovision “Stars in their Eyes”, singers battle it out to win the coveted Eurostars trophy
  • Gala concert from our special guests
  • Eurovision disco until 2am, including the all-important Midnight Chips!

And all this for just £70 (+ booking fees) for OGAE UK members (Other OGAE clubs £75, non-OGAE members £80).

Who are the special guests?

This year we’re announcing the Bash with our three special guests already confirmed. We’re delighted to reveal that we are to be joined by this year’s UK representative SuRie and Bulgarian pop diva Poli Genova. And, as ever, we’re bringing you a “behind-the-scenes” guest as well – this year it’s none other than former Eurovision Executive Supervisor Svante Stockselius.

So how do I book?

We’ve been listening to your feedback and a major change we’re making this year is that we’re now selling tickets on an event-only basis, giving you flexibility in your accommodation choices.

Initially the Eurobash will only be open to OGAE members, although if spaces remain available these will be opened to non-OGAE members. 150 spaces are available at this stage, although a limited number of tickets may become available at a later date.

This Eventbrite page is for booking your tickets for the event.

How can I book accommodation?

If you want to stay on-site at the Hilton, we have reserved a limited number of rooms at a reserved bed and breakfast rate of £129 (single occupancy) or £139 (double/twin) per night. To book this, go to http://tiny.cc/eurobash2018 (if you get an error message when clicking the link, just type it into your browser manually). Alternatively call 0113 244 2000 and use the code “AOGAE”. The Hilton has a range of single, double and triple rooms.

If you wish to stay elsewhere then Leeds is well equipped with hotels and Airbnb options to suit all budgets. Hotels within a ten minute walk of the Hilton include the Novotel, Doubletree, Premier Inn, Queens Hotel, Travelodge, Cosmopolitan Hotel and the Clayton Hotel. Please note that for those just staying for the Saturday night, time is built into the schedule for you to check-in before dinner.

We look forward to welcoming you to Leeds and Eurobash weekend 2018!
