I’m writing this blog on Tuesday evening to be published in the early hours of Wednesday when we know the results of Semi-Final 1. We’re two hours ahead in Ukraine with the show stating at 10.0pm local time and finishing in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Spent the morning and afternoon exploring more of Kyiv. This really is a wonderful city. It’s got lovely architecture all in nice colours. A really nice mix of old and new. And very green.
So, who will be the lucky ten and who will be the unlucky eight? To remind you, here they are again.
So – the results are through! Well my favourite, Finland, failed to make it through. But I have form on that! Still, David Ransted and myself got seven correct.
Anyway, congrats to:
SWEDEN (2nd half)
AUSTRALIA (2nd half)
BELGIUM (2nd half)
AZERBAIJAN (1st half)
PORTUGAL (1st half)
GREECE (2nd half)
POLAND (1st half)
MOLDOVA (1st half)
CYPRUS (2nd half)
ARMENIA (1st half)
In brackets are the results of their draw at the press conference – where it’s revealed if thy perform in the first or second half of the Grand Final.
So, it’s Semi-Final 2 on Thursday! And we’re back tomorrow reporting on the first Dress Rehearsal for that semi.
