Bilan film debut in London

Eurovision winner Dima Bilan, best known for taking the trophy in 2008 with “Believe” is visiting London next week for the UK premiere of his debut movie, “The Heritage of Love“.

The Russian heart-throb won the contest on his second attempt, after taking the runner up slot in 2006 with “Never Ever Let You Go” and, after a hugely successful music career, has now turned his attention to acting.

The Heritage of Love, directed by Yuriy Vasilev, was a massive hit at the Russian box office. It tells the story of Princess Vera and dashing nobleman and army officer Andrey, who fall in love during the last days of the rule of the Tsar. Forced apart by the onset of war, their all to brief romance ends abruptly but nearly 100 years later, by twist of fate, a different Andrey is about to meet his princess and rekindle past emotions.

The premiere takes place at London’s Regent Street Cinema on Wednesday 30th November and, such is the popularity of Dima Bilan that tickets sold out in the first few days.
